SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 2012

After a long awaiting month, I am writing this now. It feels good to write and feels even better to learn how much I love my passion.  I swear it is something that is beyond normal- a supramundane-like feeling.  The real happiness I get when I do something I love and the immense pleasure I get is when I am writing.

SUBJECT: GOD, READ MY MESSAGE :)

Dear God,
Thank you. Of all the things that I am going through right now, I know it is you who understand me completely.
I have never been to such a thing in my life where I will have to stand on my own, where people don’t agree with my dreams, or I don’t know if this is the first time I am following my dreams.
The first time I feel so strong about what I am doing. The voices within says, “Just do it.... You are strong and it’s in our blood.”
I don’t know what is that, that keeps my loved ones say ‘no’ to my dreams. I know they are much worried about me; and I don’t want to let them down.
   With love.

WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

What could be the most painful thing in life?
When you fall sick, while your friends are hanging out?
When your friend copies from your answer sheet during exam and you fail, but your friend does not?
No. The most painful thing is bidding goodbye to a friend- a close- a best friend.

P.S : I hate ‘Goodbye messages.’
P.P.S: May be my new year resolution should have been “GOODBYE GOODBYES.” J

DOGS ARE FRIENDS- DON'T BE AFRAID OF IT.

It was such a beautiful moment. I was walking out from my house. In a short period, I realized a dog following me. Initially, I was doubtful, so I decided to take the lane across the street. The dog was still running behind me.

I got reminded of the Hutch ad where the pug follows the boy wherever he goes. In my case, I don't even know which breed it was, but it was a free-ranging dog. I really felt it like a baby and I did not wish to let go of it. But I  had to catch a cab; it was time. Hope I see it again, but this time I am sure I will treat it well and feed him some biscuits.

P.S: I want a dog  :-(

MUSIC PERSONIFIED

You call out his name “A.R.Rahman”, I bet, we rahmanics fly over the moon. It started off with the soundtrack Roja, since then I fell head over heels for his music. The Frequently looped songs in my IPOD are from the movies PUDHIYA MUGAM , ROJA , GENTLEMAN , DUET , MAY MADHAM , THIRUDA THIRUDA , KADHALAN , BOMBAY , INDHIRA , LOVE BIRDS , ALAIPAYUTHEY , JEANS ,  SLUM DOG MILLIONAIRE JAANE TU YA JAANE NA  , JHOOTH HAI SAHI , VINNAITHANDI VARUVAYA , GHAJINI , JILLUNU ORU KAADHAL , RAAVAN , 127 HOURS and the list goes on . His compositions are of a complete Hocus Pocus to me for I can relate so much to my life.  For a person who is a musicomania and can not live without music, A.R.Rahman fills his tunes into our ears.

I feel music is not just ‘do re mi fa sa’ but it’s something beyond what we call “the feel” along with the tunes that can be listened , felt  and loved by all , A.R.Rahman ‘s music has touched all our hearts and spread across the world .  His passion for music and love towards God brings up a complete divinized man tuning the happiness in his music.

Lately I have been going too crazy on Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and 127 Hours movie’s sound tracks. Especially Hosanna, Anbil Avan, Mannipaya from Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya and “if I rise “from 127 Hours.
All of his songs are so close to my heart and without it I believe music is incomplete.  There are loads to write about him but honestly speaking words are not just enough, it is his music that personifies him.

G-2 THE- E-2 THE- E-2 THE- M- 2 THE- A

Music unites people and that is what I realised when I first met Geema in the music class.
It was six years ago, just the way as bubbly, humorous and bold I see her now.
The first time when I met her, I felt her so familiar as though I knew her already. Her character resembled a little alike of my sister’s. Probably, that’s one of the reasons I felt so comfortable.
Most of the times, we spent laughing and giggling aloud and the way people stare at us just to let us know we are not aliens. Yes, we share a little crazy imagination and we talk imaginatively. Our scripts can even win awards. Beginning from aliens to Steve Jobs, we include all the characters in our story. J
Geema= Patience... Patience= Geema. She had dealt with me so patiently.
I remember the time when I fell sick and there was none to help me out; She took care of me very well J
She offered me tablets and healthful fruit drinks, but I refused to take those and consumed only a packet full of chipsJ. I know how mad she went and with the ultimate gift in her- Patience took over me.
Although we don’t contact each other often, we still go mad every time we meet.
All through these years, Geema has become stronger and dedicative in her passion.
Feel so happy and proud of you, Geema. Take care. Keep rockin’ ^__^

lOVE,
Sis.

P.S: Get me something from Portugal :P

ONE OF MY PET PEEVS

I bought a laptop. It is pretty cool. It’s more comfortable. I am enjoying its company. In fact, mum worries that I am going to be using it round the clock and never let her type a mail for my sister.
This morning, I was at the showroom to order for a laptop. Well, they said it would take an hour for it to get delivered. So, I ordered it pretty early.
Things that got me mad:
a.    Very bad customer service.
b.   Very bad customer service.
c.    Very bad customer service.
d.   Very bad customer service.
e.    Very bad customer service.
f.     Very bad customer service.ing in detail
If you are wondering, why my pet peeves list shows the same thing repeatedly, here is your answer.
They did not explain anything about the product and even if they did, it was all wrong. Fortunately, I found a service company next to it and got few details from them.
They don’t keep up their promises. When they guarantee that you will get your product in a half-hour, make sure to count double the time they mentioned.
There are very few experts who know what they are doing. Others seem to be beginners.
Sometimes, the work gets delayed when there are less man-power. All of them were occupied with lots of work and they did not know to manage their work.
They don’t respect customers. At times they even yell. It’s really bad to shout at a customer over the phone, while other customers are watching them fight.
Therefore, it was a patience-testing day.

PNR2 – Partners in Real cRime

May be it’s easy to handle math problems, but not PNR2 .
P- Poornima
N-Neetu
R2- Rakhi, Rekha
A tall, neatly uniformed girl walks on the stage to sing.
The first prize for the inter-school singing competition goes to Ms. Poornima.
The third prize goes to Ms. Gayathri.
Poornima: Hey! Hi! I am Poornima. I heard you singing. It was nice
Me: Hi! I am Gayathri. Thank you! You sang well too
Poornima: Ah! So you are learning music professionally?
Me: Hmm... No, I learnt.
Poornima: Ohh! That’s cool. Okay! Gotta go now. Bye!
Me: Okay, bye!
I did not get a proper chance to judge her the first time, though people whine about her most of the times. Hey! But she is cool. She does not really care as far as she has the attitude to keep her going towards her path.

“Hey! Make-up baby...make-up baby,” she teases as she pats my head and messes up my hair style.
“What? Stop calling me like that...*grrrrrr* and stop messing my hair-style, Rekha.” I try to adjust my hair as I look at the girl wearing specs like those in the Matrix movie *Well, no... No... She thinks so*.
Rekha-This girl, who is so friendly and keeps nattering, is such a sweet girl to be with. Honestly, I have never seen her getting angry. We first got each other introduced as bus-mates.
Like any other school, our school owns pretty comfortable school bus. At least, I can assure you its safe driving.

Class- 11, Section-D, Class representative- Neeta AKA Jo

“Hieeee, Gaayu,” she greets me musically.
A girl so lean *compared to other three girls* joins the conversation.
“Hiee Gayathri!”
“Hello Rakhi......Hello Neeta...” I respond as I occupy the last before bench next to Poornima.
Well, I did not really prefer sitting on the last bench, not that I am a bluestocking.
In fact, I was told to sit along with Poornima, Neeta, Rekha and Rakhi.
My first impression on them was not disappointing. I felt they were so cool and the most popular gang in the school :P hehehe
My joining their gang was uninvited and disliked by few. But, in no time I started enjoying their company. I realised they were as crazy as I.
So, that is how I got introduced to their gang.
Now, to explain all the incidents, I need to write chapters of our history. To make it short, here is what I write a brief testimony.

Poornima:

There are very few, who determine to be strong in spite of their critics and that is what I learnt from Poornima. The reason that most of them used to backbite on her is because they were so jealous. She excels in singing, dancing, and also in her studies; a multi-talented girl, who struggles to do her best.
We are always good at keeping each other’s secrets. Music is one of the reasons that got us close. We share equal taste for music, if not, a better taste.
She is the ultimate photo- mania. No...No....She is crazy about posing for a camera. If at all she finds a camera, she would never let you leave taking pictures of hers.
Arghhh! Also, she is tall and strong, which defend my strength in our war times.

Class: 12 *During Commerce class*

I admit it is always Poornima who talks during class hours and not me. Well, I hear her gossiping talks.
On a fine day, during our commerce class, she was as usual commenting something to my ears and I pretended to listen to the class, knowing that my ma’am was looking at me.
I still don’t know what got Poornima mad, that she gave me a heavy blow on my head. *hahaha... unforgettable*
Hit her  ... Hit her...Go on!” my ma’am yelled, looking at me.
While, Rekha, Rakhi and Neeta were already ready to punch her. *hehehe*
Poornima, do you remember our fight at the beach?? Hahaaha...I bet they were afraid of us.
So, sticking around with her for seven years makes me feel like an award-winner J

Hey, girl!

Thank you for being there when I wasn’t able to pay the bill amount for the things that you all ate *hahahha :P*
Stay the way you are, Poornima. Don’t get too emotional. Do what your heart says. We all know what the reality offers for us. We all know we have got just one life to live, so stay happy forever.
As always, you can count on me.
Hugs,
Sis.

Neetu:

She is too cute like a teddy bear. Though we spent very little time together, we still know each other well. She is like the connecting thread of our gang, uniting all of us.
She is a girl with crazy ideas, crazy plans, and crazy resolutions. Very rarely she shares her problems, but it’s easy to figure it out. She can be too sweet even when she has her pain hidden.
Neeta, do you remember the day when Poornima slapped you for nothing :P hahahaha.
I missed to see it. J

Dear Neeta,

Seriously, stop being conscious. You are cute the way you are.
Come back soon... We miss your jokes and most of all we miss irritating you... <3 LL  Thank you so much for everything. Without you the gang might have been incomplete. Miss you. Mail me, maaaantaaaal. :D

 Rakhi:

A girl who aspires to become a fashion designer, but just like another sore story, her loved ones restrict her from being so. But she does not curse her life for that. She’s still got the passion that will live along forever.
I have always admired her charisma and her enthusiastic approach in everything.
She makes a very good sister and a friend.
It’s true that I used to be so silent and shy and most of them take advantage of it and mock at me. But, Rakhi was the extreme opposite- very bold and no one could mess up with her. So, every time when someone tries to pull my leg, she comes to survive and scoff at them back.

Dear Rakhi,

You know what I would say. As of now, I would like to tell just one thing- Please get married soon: P.
Don’t you worry. Your loved ones will never fail you; it’s just at times we who judge them wrong.

Rekha:

The one in the gang I first spoke. It’s so amazing how someone could be easily friendly. It’s all the moments of laughter we spent together. Awesome!
For all of you, who are still wondering about the teacher’s spy- Of course, now it’s easy to guess :D It was Rekha, who was spying on us, but she never let any of our class secrets out :P.
Trust me, the craziness in our gang was first inaugurated by her :P .
She is very good at mimicking and dubbing.

Class: 12

There were two teachers standing towards the corridor, opposite to the class. Probably they were discussing something serious?
While most of them were curious and trying to eavesdrop to their conversation, Rekha, the popular entertainer of our gang, started dubbing their conversation and making it feel funny. Lol J

Dear Rekha,

Please finish your studies soon :D Too many degrees...Grrrr :P hehehe

To conclude, I thank you all and I feel so comfortable or should I say I feel what I am when I am with you all. We don’t need any rules to rule us, we rule ourselves :P. Cheers!

BEHIND THE SCREEN- MY SISTER

CLOCKWISE DIRECTION- FROM LEFT- MY SISTER, DAD, MOM AND THE BIRTHDAY BABY(Gaayu)

This morning, while I was sitting idle *like I always do* , my thoughts were carried back to few episodes of my childhood and teenage days spent with my lovely sister.
This girl *my sister*, who is seven years older than me, plays multiple roles *Multiple Personality Disorder*  in my life -a friend to hangout, a sister to fight, a brother to tie Raksh Bandhan , a mother to take care of me well and like a father to boss over ^__^.

Her bubbly looks that is always up to high-spirited fun, her wide smile that welcomes happiness, her pretending anger that personifies concern, her loud laughter that makes neighbours to knock at our door and her bold attitude towards life that ranks the best adjective in her, bring such a pride as a sister.
There are few incidents which my mind keeps replaying like  youtube replay button.  Few people say 'memories haunt and they have to be left behind without remembering'. But these ones- *memories* with my sister are difficult to forget.
It was a good evening walk run. Her friend, my sister and I were walking down the streets. Me, with my cute, little teddy bear, following my sister; My tall, neatly combed hair sister, dragging her bicycle along and the other tall friend joining us for a walk, made a perfect evening time-pass for me. The streets looked so new to me; we were walking a long way, it seems.
Me : Hey! Look! the dog *pointing at the unchained, furious, African Boerboles breed- look like dog*
They: huh?
Me: *In my mind* How cute!
Ouch! It's barking.
By the time I paused few mins to think, they were already gone, riding fast their bicycles.
Dogs are truly cute, but not until they start to bark.
I was on my mark, got set and gone. Good that the dog did not chase my way, for I was already lost. Hours later I traced and reached home crying.
That was one of the adventurous incidents happened to me.
The most unforgettable and awesome moments with her were during my birthdays and she knows it why.
It was probably 2007 or 2008, she was making her way to Japan. I knew I would miss her loads. I felt, she was the best sister ever. Just few hours before her departure, she held me closer to her and patted my shoulder telling me not to cry.
I never really had a best friend, but she never made me feel so. I used to hang out with her. We shop together and pose for the perfect picture. More than that, we fight a lot.
I really miss being with her. Sometimes I even reply for her old mails ^__^ Lol *just to bug her*.
It was just a tragic moment when I heard about the 'March 11, 2011 Japan's natural disaster'. I kept getting calls to my phone from a lot of people convincing me not to worry. It was just after I received a mail from her, I relived.
Such were the incidents that made me write about her.
Though my passion for writing was always there,I lacked confidence. I remember that day when I mailed her my first ever article, she immediately called up and said she liked it. She continued to encourage me. So, that's how I started 'Blogging'.
Holding back all these memories, I write to you.
Dear Sister,
Thank you so much for being there. I used to wonder if I really made a good sister for you. You were are the best sister. Just wanted to say that I will always bug you.
Love.
P.S : Sissiiee, so when am I getting the MAC? hahaha *just kiddin* ^__^ I am fine spoiling Ragav's laptop ^__^
P.P.S : Oops ! I forgot to mention about your cooking :O
P.P.P.S: I still admire the cups you won. ^__^
